Frequently asked questions

Booking.

Q. The availability calendar is showing that my preferred dates are available. Is this always correct?
A.Yes. We always take care to update the availability calendar when we receive a customer's deposit payment.

Q. What is the changeover day?
A. We do not have a specific changeover day. We try to accommodate your timetable so you can take advantage of any flight offers.

Q. The period I want to book runs into a higher price band so how do I calculate the rent?
A. Calculate the rent on a pro rata basis.

Q. I have completed the booking form. Does this mean the booking is now safe?
A. The booking is not confirmed until we have received your deposit. However, once you have completed the form, I will hold the space to give you a chance to pay the deposit. If you have paid with Paypal your booking is safe and will be confirmed when I next check my e-mails.

Q. How will I find the way to the property?
A. Once you have paid in full I will send you the full address, clear directions, phone numbers and all the information you will need.

Q. Is there any outside space with the Venetian Tower?
A. There is no outside space. Most of the locals wander down to the Riva (water front), or the beach for sunshine. However, the top floor has seven windows so it feels like being outside.

Q. Can I cancel my booking with you?
A. Not once you have paid the deposit. For this reason I would suggest you take out a travel insurance policy.

Car hire.

Q. Should I hire a car when I arrive at the Airport?
A. I defiantly think you should go to the accommodation first. I would suggest that you only hire a car for specific days out. The car could then be delivered to you in Trogir, usually within half an hour of ordering. Public transport or tours will take you to any of the main attractions.

Q. Do I need to hire a car if I am staying at the Ballan apartment?
A. It is not essential to hire a car. Trogir is only a few minutes walk and from there you can catch a coach to Split or Sibenik or use the ferry service. Also bear in mind that the bridge can become congested in the season. There is a parking place.

Q. Do I need to hire a car if I am staying at the Glavica apartment?
A. It is worth considering car hire. Although you have shops, bars, restaurants and beaches within a few minutes walk, Trogir is about 40 minutes walk. There is a local bus but it is not reliable during the main season due to the traffic on the bridge. There is now a ferry in operation that takes about twenty minutes and cost one pound.

Q. Do I need to hire a car if I am staying at the Venetian Tower?
A. Since Trogir is a walled city you will have to park just outside. There is a car park a few minutes walk away that charges 50 pence per hour. It is sometimes possible to free parking if you are prepaired to walk further. Everything in Trogir, including the bus Station and beach is within a short walk. Therefore it may be worth considering just hiring a car for specific outings.

Q. Where is the best place to hire a car?
A. My guests inform me that it is cheaper to hire a car in Croatia, rather than booking it online. There are many car hire places at the Airport. I have negotiated a 5% discount with a local company that are based in Trogir. They will deliver the car to you in Trogir within about half an hour.
